Statement from Jennett's Park - 11th July 2008
Nick Scregg, Divisional Managing Director, Persimmon Special Projects speaking on behalf of the Jennett's Park consortium which also includes Redrow Homes (Southern) Limited, says:
“It is entirely inaccurate to suggest that the construction of homes at Jennett's Park has stopped as will be evident by any visit to the site. We are experiencing a natural slow down as would be expected under the current market conditions. However, visitor rates at the development remain high and Jennett's Park remains a successful housing development in Bracknell.
“What has to be appreciated is that Jennett's Park is a large-scale development being built over a 7-8 year period. It is therefore normal for there to be ‘peaks and troughs’ in construction rates over the long-term. This is why we continually monitor our construction rates at all sites to ensure that they match current and projected sales rates.”
